What's in a name?

Every story starts somewhere and Flying Viking's started long ago, as a goal of mine to one day operate my own business. The same is true for many of my clients, which is why I'm uniquely positioned to understand and appreciate their concerns. My years of experience and MBA with a focus on branding and marketing qualify me to act on and alleviate those concerns, and I love doing it, which is why you're reading this page.

In February 2015, I finally decided to make a go of it. Recently married, settled into a house in my native St. Louis with a dog and two cats, I had the stability I needed to stake my claim on the marketing landscape in the Midwest. I founded Flying Viking to help small and medium-sized businesses thrive, by adding my expertise to their passion to create compelling stories targeted to the right consumers.

But why "Flying Viking?"

By virtue of having many diverse interests and capabilities, I don't do "just" marketing. Or photography. Or videography, creative writing or audio recording. There just wasn't one term or catchy phrase that encompassed the breadth of the services I've honed to offer clients, so I decided to come up with something completely different. An original idea that was memorable not for the specific services it portrayed but they ideas it evoked.

My hope is that Flying Viking will conjure playful images of a soaring conqueror, a powerful force who lifts his allies to success over their competition. I hope too that, when you need help marketing a product or service, or just telling an interesting story, you'll contact me, because there's nothing I love more than helping people share their story in a compelling, unique fashion.

That's our story, thank you for reading, and please give me a shout on the contact page if you or anyone you know could use any of the services we have to offer. Until then, be sure to follow our pages on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, we should have some interesting stuff coming up shortly.

Cheers!
